Zagreb Airport
zagrebnewThe consortium involving TAV Airports signed the contract for the construction of new terminal and operation of Zagreb Airport as of December 2013. Realized by public-private partnership model, the project’s passenger capacity will gradually increase from 2 million to 5 million and then 8 million. Covering an area of 65,000 sqm, the new terminal will be completed at the end of 2016. Operation of the existing airport is undertaken by TAV Airports and ADPm until April 2042. The operation works also include new terminal building as well as runways, cargo terminals, car parks and future real-estate investments. Held in April 2012, the operation tender of the airport was awarded to Aéroports de Paris Management (ADPm) – Bouygues Bâtiment International (BBI) consortium, of which TAV Airports holds 15 per cent shares. Other consortium members and their shares are: ADPM holds 20.77 per cent, BBI holds 20.77 per cent,Marguerite Fund holds 20.77 per cent, IFC holds 17.58 per cent and Viadukt holds 5.11 per cent. European Investment Bank (EIB), International Finance Corporation (IFC), Deutsche Bank and Unicredit Bank Austria provided finance for the project.
