– Akfen Holding and Singapore-based PSA Group wins the tender for the privatization of Mersin Port with a bid of 755 million dollars.

– Akfen Su (Akfen Water) and TÜVTURK Motor Vehicle Inspection Inc. were founded.

– Operation of Atatürk Airport Domestic Flights Terminal and General Aviation Terminal was also assumed by TAV.

– 60 percent of HAVAŞ’s shares were bought.

– Construction and operation of İzmir Adnan Menderes International Flights Terminal passed to TAV. TAV İzmir Terminal İşletmeciliği A.Ş. (TAV Izmir Terminal Operation Inc.) was founded.

– TAV won the tender for Tbilisi International Airport in Georgia.

– Airport operation company TAV Urban Georgia LLC was founded.

– TAV Havacılık A.Ş. (TAV Aviation Inc.) was founded.

– Sharjah Branch of TAV Construction was founded.

– TAV Airports won the lease tender for the operation for a period of 15.5 years of Atatürk Airport Domestic and International Flights Terminal Building, Multi-Storey Carpark and General Aviation Airport.

– TAV Istanbul Terminal İşletmeciliği A.Ş. (TAV Istanbul Terminal Operation Inc.) was founded.

 

2007

– 436-room Novotel & Ibis Hotel was opened in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, and 108-room Ibis Hotel in Eskişehir, within the framework of the cooperation agreement with Accor Group of France, one of the world’s biggest hotel chains.

– TAV Airports Holding went public.

– New Passenger Terminal Building of Tbilisi International Airport was opened.

– Batumi International Airport was opened/ TAV Batumi Operations LLC was founded

 

2007

TAV Airports won the tender for Monastir Habib Bourguiba and Enfidha Zine El Abidine Ben Ali International Airports in Tunis. TAV Tunisie SA was founded.

– 40% Minority stake was bought at Havaş. Havaş became a fully-owned TAV Airports subsidiary.

– TAV Airports acquired all shares of TAV İzmir and TAV Esenboğa.

– TAV Airports won the tender for the operation of Antalya Gazipaşa Airport.

– Hopa Terminal, operated by Havaş, was opened.

 

2007

– Levent Loft project, the first urban transformation project in loft-style in Turkey, was completed.

– Operating rights of Mersin Port were taken for a period of 36 years by signing a concession agreement for the transfer of the operating rights of Mersin port.

– 300-room Mercure Girne Hotel and Casino Girne were opened in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

– Tunis, Bahrain and Libya branches of TAV İnşaat were founded.

 

2007

– TÜVTÜRK signed the license agreement for motor inspection stations in Turkey.

– Akfen Enerji Üretim ve Ticaret A.Ş (Akfen Energy Production and Trade Inc.) started its operations.

– Akfen Gayrimenkul Ticaret ve İnşaat A.Ş (Akfen Real Estate Trade and Construction Inc.) was founded.

– 7.12% of Akfen Holding’s shares were offered to the public on 14 May 2010.

– Tepe- Akfen-Souter-Sera Joint Venture Group gave the best bid at the privatization tender for İDO Istanbul Deniz Otobüsleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (İDO Istanbul Sea Buses Industry and Trade Inc.) by block sale.

– Electricity generation license for Laleli Dam-HEPP project was received.

– Antalya Gazipaşa Airport welcomes its first international passengers.

– Çamlıca 3 HEPP started commercial power generation in April.

– 177-Room Yaroslavl İbis Hotel, Russia, was opened on 8 September 2011.

– Karasu 4.2 HEPP started commercial power generation in November.

– Akfen Holding successfully completed 80 million lira bond issue in December.

 

2014

– Akfen Construction was the best bidder in Eskişehir City Hospital tender.

– Akfen Holding completed a stock buyback program and a bond issue with a nominal value of 400 million lira in April 2014. – A capital decrease was realized by way of cancelling the share certificates with a nominal value of 29.1 million lira in January 2015 for the purpose of starting a new buyback program.

– Mersin International Port (MIP) started an investment with a worth of USD 170 million in order to enhance the depth and capacity of the port.

 

2014

– Akfen Holding becomes a partner to a dormitory project to be built inside Hacettepe University.

– MIP was awarded for the fourth time “The Port of the Year” prize which is organized by Logitrans Lojistik.

– New Domestic Flights Terminal was opened at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport.

– TGS, 50 percent owned by HAVAŞ which is a subsidiary of TAV Airports, won Turkish Airlines’ bidding for the ground services in 8 airports.

 

2014

– At İncek Loft project, 672 out of 1,199 flats were sold following the launch of the project in April.

– A contract was signed for the construction of residences, shopping center and carpark at Emaar Square project.

– Ibis Hotel Esenboğa, Ankara was inaugurated.

– Sekiyaka II HEPP 1, and Doruk and Doğançay HEPPs which have an installed capacity of 60.8 MW in total were inaugurated.

 

2014

– TAV İnşaat, Medine’de Suudi Havayolları Catering Binas ile Medine Havalimanı Otel Projesi inşaatlarına başladı.

– TAV Construction: Engineering News Records, published by the top 250 contracting companies of the world, selected TAV Construction as “The World’s Biggest Airport Construction Company” in 2014.

– TAV Airports became the operator of the newly constructed terminal of Croatia’s Zagrep Airport by 2042.

– TAV Airports took over the Domestic Flights Terminal of Milas-Bodrum Airport.

 

2015

– Akfen Holding completed its second stock buyback program which was started in February 2015, and decreased its capital by 14,819,314 lira by way of cancelling the repurchased stocks with the same nominal value in January 2016.

– In April 2015, Akfen Holding distributed a gross sum of 20 million lira in profit in cash.

– With Hamdi Akın and other shareholders acting along with him reaching the controlling stakeholder status in December 2015, the process for the use of the investors’ right of sale started for the period 23.12.2015 – 22.03.2016.

– MIP continued the construction works under its investment project for the purpose of expanding the depth and capacity of Mersin Port.

– MIP paid a total of TL 61 million lira in dividend in April 2015.

– Moody’s affirms MIP’s issuer and bond rating of Baa3 in June 2015 with stable outlook, while Fitch also confirmed the Company’s BBB- rating, outlook stable, in July 2015.

– TAV Airports distributed a total gross sum of 306 million lira in cash in profit in May 2015.

– ATÜ, a subsidiary of TAV Airports, received the operation rights of the duty-free shops at the George Bush Airport in Houston, Texas, in March 2015.

– The consortium established with ADP and Metro Pacific Investments Corporation received prequalification for the Public-Private Partnership tender including the operation, maintenance and repair rights for 5 local airports in Philippines in September 2015.

– In July 2015, the Holding decided to purchase shares in companies investing in solar and thermal power to expand the Holding’s energy portfolio. The process for the purchase of 100% of the shares of Karine Enerji which held 29.75% of the shares of Akfen Termik, and also investments in solar energy. An additional 40% share was purchased in Adana İpekyolu in October 2015.

Ro-Ro transportation was started in November 2015 to provide services for the lories and trucks at Ambarlı-Topçular line.

 

2015

– A deed of partnership was signed with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in December 2015 for payment of USD 100 million against 20 percent share in a new company (Akfen Renewable Energy) to be established by the merger of Akfenhes, Akfenres, Akfen Toptan and Karine GES – following its transfer to the Holding.

 

2015

– Ibis Hotel Moscow was inaugurated in Russia in July 2015.

 

2016

– The construction of Isparta Student Hostel having a capacity of 3,000 students was started.

– Akfen Holding successfully completed its bond issue worth 150 million lira, which it had to raise to 300 million lira due to strong demand, with 3 year maturity and interest payable every three months. (8 January 2017)

– Loft Trade, second-hand official sale and rental office for İncek Loft, which was constructed by Akfen İnşaat as the biggest housing project of İncek, Ankara, was opened. (16 February 2017)
