National Athlete Ekin Ereke, Supported by Akfen İnşaat, Becomes Türkiye Champion in the U23 Women’s Category

Ekin Ereke, a national athlete supported by Akfen İnşaat and competing for the Turkish National Cycling Team and Büyükçekmece Municipality Sports Club, became Türkiye Champion in the U23 Women’s category at the competitions held in Sakarya, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Cycling Federation.

Achieving significant results in mountain bike races throughout 2025, Ekin Ereke earned the title of Türkiye Champion in competitions attended by 90 athletes from more than 20 clubs.

Supported by Akfen İnşaat and representing both the Turkish National Cycling Team and Büyükçekmece Municipality Sports Club, Ekin Ereke claimed the U23 Women’s Türkiye Championship at the races held at Ayçiçeği Bicycle Valley in Sakarya, with the participation of 90 athletes and more than 20 clubs.

This prestigious competition, held once a year, grants the right to wear the champion’s jersey. Competing on behalf of Büyükçekmece Municipality Sports Club with Akfen İnşaat as the main sponsor, Ereke had previously won first place in the U23 Women’s category at the Türkiye Championship held in Erzurum in 2024, once again earning the championship jersey.

Throughout 2025, Ereke also stood out as the most successful athlete in the U23 category in international mountain bike rankings. In addition, she finished 27th in Europe at the 2025 UEC MTB European Mountain Bike Championships, held in Melgaço, Portugal, with athletes from 18 countries participating. Representing Türkiye between July 24–27, Ereke competed in the XCC Short Track events on July 23–24, the XCR Team Relay on July 25, and the XCO Cross-Country Olympic event on July 27 in the U23 Women’s category. Competing for the Turkish National Mountain Bike Team, she achieved 27th place in Europe in the XCO Cross-Country Olympic U23 Women’s category.

Additionally, on June 22, Ereke competed on behalf of the Turkish National Team at the UCI MTB Eliminator World Championship, held at Ayçiçeği Bicycle Valley in Sakarya, where she finished 17th in the world.
