On December 21, the longest night of the year, Terminal Kadıköy invites visitors to an all-day program filled with a variety of enjoyable events.
Located in Söğütlüçeşme, one of Istanbul’s busiest transportation hubs, Terminal Kadıköy has transformed an underused space beneath the viaduct into a vibrant urban meeting point. With its distinctive structure that brings together gastronomy, culture, and social life, the venue continues to stand out.
This multi-layered public space, in tune with the rhythm of the city, welcomes the longest night of the year on December 21 with special events running throughout the day. As part of its longest-night program, Terminal Kadıköy offers a rich and inclusive experience by combining gastronomy, art, and engaging conversations for visitors of all ages.
Throughout the day, New Year–themed flavors, creative workshops, and talks will meet visitors at various locations across Terminal Kadıköy.
Chefs Compete for the Longest Night
One of the highlights of the day will be the Chef Challenge held at 7DE7. On this special occasion, the chefs behind the 22 different street food concepts at 7DE7 will showcase their creativity.
Taking place between 11:30 and 16:30, each chef will reinterpret the street food offered at their own kiosk with a New Year theme and present it to visitors. The creations will be voted on by 7DE7 visitors throughout the event, and at the end of the day, the chef receiving the highest number of votes will be announced as the winner of the Chef Challenge.
Art, Conversation, and Flavor Together
As part of the program, a Drink & Draw event will be held at Trattoria Fontana between 14:00 and 16:00. Guided by Verda Samanlı, participants will reflect the New Year spirit onto canvas while enjoying mulled wine and Fontana’s flavors. In a warm and relaxed atmosphere, guests will sip their drinks and take part in a creative drawing experience.
Between 15:00 and 17:00, an Astrology Talk at Deli Deli will offer a different perspective on the longest night. Later in the day, the program will continue with a pleasant closing starting at 16:30 with Happy Hour at Winter Alley. As part of this event, trumpet artist Barış Demirel will perform live with the sponsorship of Red Bull.
