The Groundbreaking Ceremony For The Amasya State Hospital, Which Will Serve Not Only Amasya But Also Other Surrounding Cities In The Middle Black Sea Region Such As Samsun, Çorum, and Tokat With Its Extensive Infrastructure, Was Held With The Participation Of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Amasya State Hospital, which will be implemented by Akfen Construction-Dost Construction, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated, “We are laying the foundations of one of the hospitals that we see as symbols of the strides our country has taken in the field of health.
This hospital is referred to as 600 beds, but it has a certain flexibility and capacity. It has been planned to be capable of accommodating up to 768 beds when needed. This hospital will not only be for Amasya but also for the region. We will build a hospital of regional importance. When its infrastructure is completed and this beautiful work emerges, it will support cities like Samsun, Tokat, Çorum, provide service to their citizens, and bring healing. At the same time, it will make Amasya a center of attraction in terms of health.”
“IT WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE SERVICE IN THE EVENT OF A POSSIBLE DISASTER”
Emphasizing that the capacity of the 600-bed Amasya State Hospital, which will cost approximately 3 billion 250 million TL, can be increased up to 768 beds, Cevdet Yılmaz said, “We are in an earthquake-prone region. Last year, we experienced a disaster that affected 11 provinces and 14 million people. Creating solid foundations for critical buildings such as hospitals is much more important. Within this framework, I would like to emphasize that this hospital has been built according to the highest earthquake standards. In line with our resilient cities approach, 370 earthquake isolators will be placed on the structural columns of our hospital. In the event of a possible disaster, it will continue to provide service to existing patients. With an implemented system, the effects will be minimized in Amasya, which carries earthquake risk, and the hospital’s operations will continue uninterrupted. I wish this significant health investment to be auspicious and beneficial for Amasya, the Middle Black Sea region, and our country.”
Following the opening speeches, the first foundation of the Amasya State Hospital was laid with the prayer of Amasya Mufti Durmuş Ayvaz.
A HEALTHCARE HUB FOR THE MIDDLE BLACK SEA
The Amasya State Hospital, to be implemented by Akfen Construction-Dost Construction, will also make the city a center of attraction in the field of health. The 600-bed Amasya State Hospital will have 24 operating rooms, 153 clinics, 133 intensive care beds, 22 dialysis beds, and 60 emergency service beds. 370 seismic isolators will ensure the continuity of health services in the event of an earthquake. Thanks to this system, in Amasya, which carries the risk of a possible major earthquake, the effects will be minimized, and hospital operations will continue without interruption.
The 600-bed State Hospital, which will make Amasya a center of attraction in the field of health, will have an area of 22,640 square meters and a closed area of 157,000 square meters. The hospital, consisting of 7 floors and 5 blocks, will be capable of increasing its bed capacity up to 768 beds when necessary. This significant health investment is planned to be completed within 2 years.
