“TİKAV’s ‘Individual Development Program’, Receives a Meaningful Award

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the Turkey Human Resources, Education, and Health Foundation (TİKAV) has been awarded the 2024 Women-Friendly Brands Awareness Award for its project, the Individual Development Program (IDP). This project aims to equip university students with various life skills, preparing them for both professional and social life, with the goal of promoting equal opportunities in education.

Since its inception in 1999, TİKAV has provided training in areas such as diction, protocol and etiquette, personal care and dental health, creative drama, and emotional intelligence to university students in the Eastern and Southeastern regions of Turkey through the Individual Development Program (IDP). Consequently, the program has been instrumental in preparing students for the challenges of post-graduate life.

Founded by Akfen Holding, TİKAV has been awarded a meaningful accolade in its 25th year. The ‘Individual Development Program’ (IDP) aims to create equal opportunities for university students facing difficulties in accessing educational, cultural, and personal development opportunities due to social and economic reasons in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions. As part of the ‘Our Better World’ theme, the program was recognized in the ‘Equal Opportunities in Education’ category at the 2024 Women-Friendly Brands Awareness Awards ceremony. The IDP aims to equip students with various life skills, preparing them for post-university careers and social life. Embracing the goal of creating equal opportunities in accessing educational resources, TİKAV has provided training in areas such as diction, protocol and etiquette, personal care and dental health, creative drama, and emotional intelligence to 354 students through the IDP since 1999. Thus, the program has enabled students to transition effectively into the workforce after graduation.

In 2009, TİKAV focused on universities in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions that had completed ten years of operation.
