Loft Art, established with the aim of creating a platform where independent artists can exhibit their works, is pleased to announce its new group exhibition titled “Non-Place.” Featuring the participation of 11 independent artists—Ayşe Gürpınar, Berk Arıkan, Ecem Naz Dalmaz, Eylül Civelek, Handan Akarsu, Hilal Gök, Mehtap Yayla, Selver Yıldırım, Sevdiye Cerrahoğlu, Şüheda Karaosmanoğlu, and Yağmur Yılan—the exhibition will be open to visitors at Loft Art from October 2 to November 30, 2025.
“Non-Place” refers to a utopia, an imaginary space, or a realm constructed within one’s mind that has no real-world counterpart—in other words, a utopia that exists precisely through its impossibility of realization.
Centered on this concept, the exhibition makes visible the fluidity of space and time, the unreliability of memory, and the fragility of belonging.
Distorted images, blurred surfaces, and the reflected shadows of incomplete forms reveal the constructive power of imagination.
Rather than offering a promise of refuge, this approach invites the viewer to confront uncertainty—to step into a place that does not exist.
